When everything around us moves so fast and quickly, we too adapt to an easy and fast lifestyle. From super smartphones to super-fast foods, our daily routine starts by sitting on the office chair and snacking the rest of the day. And what about burning all the fat? Well, who has the time for it!
Remember the resolution you made to yourself on 31st December? Something that goes all about “healthy lifestyle”, “new year, new me”, “low carb diet plans”, and what-not. Well, it’s already two months into this year, and I am sure, you are the “same old you” as you were last year. Or maybe this time, the scale shows you that you gained two pounds more. So that makes you ensure that you are not the same old you as last year.
Keeping the jokes aside, I strongly believe that a healthy lifestyle and good eating habit is something that we need to follow religiously. I know there are numerous dieticians, lifestyle coaches and thousands of sites ready with diet experts with plenty of diets as you click the search button. On the number 5th, we have Sleep.
Table of Contents
Yes, improper sleeping schedules and keeping up till late at night may be the new cool for today’s generation. But trust me, sleeping late or waking up late can be very harmful to your body and contributes to weight gain and heart diseases. If you are an adult, you should get at least 8 hours of adequate sleep.
4. Don’t skip meals
Skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner doesn’t make you lose weight; instead, it leads your body to starve more. Once you start skipping meals, the body forces itself to restrict itself to the carbs. Then in order to fulfil the desires, you ultimately end up consuming double the amount of calories than you had to intake. So maybe try reducing the daily calorie intake but NEVER skip your meals.
3. Add more fruits, veggies, fibre, protein….
Eating healthy does not mean you starve. It means that you start eating the right way. Adding proteins, fibres, and good fat to your daily food can do wonders for your body. Make sure you fill your plate with salad; vegetables and fruits have fewer calories and more vitamins and minerals. If you hate taking lots of fruits and vegetables, you can start by consuming them gradually.
2. Water
If you are on a journey of a healthy lifestyle, you need to start loving water. Drink water every time. Water does not harm your body. I think that water is a magic drink. Replace the sugary drinks with water. The human body needs liquid; a pro tip would be to chew your food as much as possible, so it turns into liquid and is easily digestible.
1. Sweat the fat
This may be slightly hard, but a healthy lifestyle’s journey does not come in an easy way. Working out and keeping the body at least the bare minimum is pretty much essential. Exercising is not just to lose weight but also to maintain your fitness. It keeps your body disease-free, increases metabolism and restores energy. Working out can even keep away excess stress that affects you mentally.
